Today I went with an organised bustrip to an UNESCO world heritage site, the famous Kutna Hora.
We drover through the country site. It was 29 C today. There is green rolling hills with crops growing, mainly wheat and barley, also lot of canola yellow flowers.
In Kutna Hora we first saw the church of the skulls and bones.
In it, it is literally thousands of skulls and bones, from real people. They died from the Plague.
So many died, they couldn't be buried.
I felt quite sad looking at all the skulls that were once real people living lives.....
There was an oppressive athmosphere, and also the smell was musty.
Later we had a traditional Czech lunch. Then we went to the huge StBarbara cathedral.
The photos you see today, on this page is really from my story of yesterday, so I will put that on as my photos of today are still on the camera.
As I can only do this once a day at the internet cafe, and doing my photos is at the hostel( because I can do that offline) . It all takes time.
Tomorrow I am going to Frankfurt, by train, and my cousin Claudia is going to meet me.
I will stay with her for 3 days.
That's good, to be with her, although I met Dada and other nice people, I am feeling a bit like a small fish in a big pond. A bit lonely. But not too bad. I am realising, I am seeing incredible things, this is really a historical tour.
So I will now put some pictures on of yesterday, the soldiers are the ones from the changing of the guard, and the predidents residence is there.
Also some photo taken from the clock tower, with view over the roofs of the old city of Prague and castle complex on the hill.
Also some photos of the communist museum. a PHOTO of the Jewish synagoge and the people watching the world soccer on a giant screen on the main square. There is a video clip at the bottom of my chapter of the changing of the guards.
